Azerbaijan will take part in Eurovision Song Contest for first time in 2008. Elnur Gusseinov was selected to represent his country.
He performed two songs to the national final. “If you are never back” and “Day after day” are the songs that reached the final. On February 15th will be decided which of these song will represent Azerbaijan for first time in Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

Do you know that SHORORA was not written for Eurovision 2008,cause that song was written many many years ago by Sheram - a great armenian compositor. Nobody of us knows who written old ethnic songs, maybe we maybe you,maybe georgian.Lets live in peace not in war.

Oh, my God! Well Im sure you will win guys. I will vote for you (Im going to Serbia for supporting ny country). Comments are different, someone is happy, others not. But generally our song is something special at this competition.
I have already seen an article of some Saakyan (at the website), who is sure that Azerbaijani singers are the geys. He is writing, that Azerbaijan is the caucasus country and its representatives at the song contest are geys:)) Well, what can I say? Probably, this author liked our guys and offered himself to them… Of course, he was ignored by our men, and in a burst of his feelings started to write this absurd article. Cool! We are popular, and everyone is discussing us, this is what we actually want!
Another thing, is Azerbaijan is not a muslim country, its the republic with the temporal power. Moreover, this journalist is also illiterate… Poor… We can advice him to read more topics on constitution!!!

Well, I voted for Norvegia. I liked her song. Israel and Ukraine were good, too. But AZERBAIJAN was the best. People remember them and their song. Thank you Gevhar Hasanzade and Zahra Badalbeyli for the music and lyrics. Of course, I think that we are the winners, but the 8th place for the first time isnt so bad.
