As we informed you earlier, the internet ticket sales for Eurovision Song Contest 2008 begin today at 10.00 CET. Till March 17th, the organizers said that no individual tickets will be available. If you want to have a ticket you can purchase only packages. It will include tickets for a number of events.

According to the location of the seats, there are three pricing areas. In the pink area the prices will be 342.5 euro for a seat, for seat in the blue areas you have to pay 232.5, and in the orange area the price will be 167.5 euro.

Information about the tickets for Eurovision Song Contest was announced. Tickets, for the event that will be held in Belgrade in May, will be available on January 31st.

The local fans can buy there tickets even earlier. On January 29th, the tickets will be released in Serbia. The international fans can get their tickets online on January 31st. Until March 15th, the tickets for the contest will be sold in packages. Pack A - you can visit all events, package B - you can visit one of the two semi finals, the final and the rehearsals for both semi finals, and if you prefer the pack for OGAE-Club- you can visit all events. It was confirmed that the price of the tickets will be between 1 000 and 5 000 dinars per ticket. This is between 12.5 and 62.5 euro. After March 17th the remaining tickets will be sold separately.

One person can buy no more then 4 packages. They will be delivered directly to the buyer’s home address. This service will be available abroad as well as Serbia.

Sandra Suša, RTS executive producer stated that the online reservation for tickets for Eurovision Song Contest 2008 will start on January 13th. The prices will be lower then the last year in Helsinki because of the two semi-finals. The online reservation will continue till January 20th.

Ms SuÅ¡a said: “We are about 20 days behind schedule with the tickets, they are usually available during the holiday season as it is customary for some people to offer them as Christmas presents”. The delays were mainly because of the change in the contest format. She also said that the tickets price will be “flexible” and that the tickets will be available on time. The exact price is not known yet but the executive producer assured that they will be cheaper than in Helsinki. She said: “RTS’s main objective is not to make a profit from ticket sales”. When the agreements with the sponsors are confirmed and finalized the regular tickets sales will start. Problem for the fans probably will be because they will not know exactly in which semi-final their country will be placed. So they have to wait till January 27-28 when the Reference Group will meet.

This time of the year is time when thousands of people ask about tickets for the most important European song contest – Eurovision 2008.

But unfortunately there are no details about tickets sale yet… Usually they are sold by the broadcaster. The European Broadcasting Union decided that the tickets will be handled by the host broadcaster.

The most sure information is that tickets will surely be expensive. Probably you will have to pay about 250 to 300 Euros for the best seats in Beogradska Arena, this price is a possible one about the final. Maybe you can find cheaper ones for the two semi-finals. There are lots of possibilities for buying ticket – via internet, by phone calls and make reservations for tickets with your credit card for example.

As the Eurovision 2008 contest is coming and lots of fans are waiting for the participants to be known, there is one thing we usually think of… the tickets for the contest.

After making some researches I found out that in several countries the tickets for the semi-finals are already sold and in others it hasn’t been announced that tickets are going to be sold yet.

In most of the countries you can buy only tickets for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which is individual for all participating countries.
