Armenian National Final Canceled

Due to the political developments in Armenia the government has imposed a State of Emergency.
The Armenian national final that was scheduled for March 8th is canceled. The final was set to take place in Academic Opera but in this situation it will be filmed at a television studio. ARMTV’s spokesman said: “It will be unfair and not correct towards people who have recently lost their relatives during these latest developments in Yerevan to hold the concert. Instead, ARMTV is arranging a National Final TV Show. It will take place at the same day and at same time”.
The show should start at 18.30 CET this Saturday.

I agree with Aram that Sirusho is stupid. I feel shame that many of our Armenian singers is the property of our criminal and oligarchical government. They don’t have any relationship with art as Sirusho.

Hey guys, I think it doesn’t matter who represents Armenia in Eurovision. The thing is that we should stand by our performer and encourage her/him every year. So let’s create a better environment for Sirusho to represent our country properly in front of Europe. Go Armenia.
I also have a question for Pogos. What do u mean by saying that our singers are the property of our government? Could you please clarify it?

One week ago before the start election who must be represent Armenia in Eurovision 2008 in some newspapers was said “It will be Sirusho, everything was specified in aboveâ€
After Sirusho said “I will vote for S.Sarkisyan†and her mother too, and also many other singers that are property of our government. After she sang for support S.Sarkisyan election campaign and earned her participation in Eurovision 2008.

Do I hope she wins? Of course. She’s representing our country and we all will be on her side.
For many years already Eurovision is giving preference to good-looking, well established singers with good connections, not to really talented ones. It’s a show to make money not to discover great new talents. Sirusho is no worse than anyone else on that show.
