27 Participants in Russian National Final
There are two new names in the Russian National final. Their names are well known to the Eurovision Song Contest audience.
Polina Smolova presented Belarus in 2006 but did not qualify for the semi final. This year she will try her luck with Russia. The other name is Sergey Lazarev. He takes part in the national final for first time but his name was highly tipped.
The Russian national final will be on March 8th and will start at 18.40 CET.

Hello Friends of Russia.
In Spain we go 40 years without gaining(earning) Eurovision.
This year in myspace.com any group could appear in our country, 10 candidates were selected in the web.
And it was displayed in that already we have finalist to represent Spain, for votings of sms.
The winner is Rodolfo Chikilicuatre with ” Dances the chiki chiki “.
As I say after 40 years without winning we have taken it with very much humor and this one is the fashionable song in our country and I hope that it(he,she) is contagious for the world…
Though we lose we will do it dancing with Spanish humor.
I invite you to qu this year tengais very much felt of the humor on having seen to our(ours) and already yours also ” Dance of the chiki chiki “.

Dima Bilan has won!
Dima Bilan won it and he is going to Eurovision second time! he got the 2nd place in 2006 Eurovision Contest with song “Never Let You Go”, now he is going to be the first!!!
Delirium… All of us have deceived!!! SÐœS voting did not work! The Internet site on which could be voted did not work too (it was disconnected for the period of voting)! Bilan is a shame!!!

Dima Bilan (who’s soon supposed to become Victor Belan) is not the choice of the russian people. Russian national selection was the one terrible farce. The majority of russian audience even had no opportunity to vote for smb they want to. Sms-voting didn’t work correctly: sms-center was cut off & people sending sms received a reply “Your vote can’t be accepted”. Voting on the phone people heard “The wrong number”, but money for sms & calls were drawn out. As for internet voting the link of the site with voting given on the official site of Channel “Russia” & pronounced by the presenter was wrong. Thus Dima Bilan is not the choice of russian people & we don’t want him to represent our country on the Music contest Eurovision 2008 because he will dishonour & discredit our country.
I think, Dima has a chance ti win this time- his new song has a powerful message and it’s very nice. I wish him good luck!!
I absolutely agree with last comment. Within Monday we have taken the Internet voting at a forum of a broadcasting company “Russia” and here our three of winners:
1.Sergey Lazarev & Alexei Vorobyov - have received on 68 votes.
2.Dima Bilan - only 9 votes!!!!

It’s a shame. Russia have many talanted singers and bands. But pruducers will never help ‘em to reach fame and popularity. Producers need only money and they will make a candy from shit and sent it to Eurovision. I will not be pleased even if Bilan will win, because it’s a dust, but not a real gold from russian land…

Russian “voting” was a fake. Phone numbers for voting did not exist, sms did not deliver, voting site did not work. Russian people didn`t choose Bilan. We are sorry. It is a national shame to have such goverment chanels as “Russia” chanel. And we ask you not to be a part of this farce. Help us to beat corruption in russian showbusiness. Please, proove that Evrovision is contest of the song and not a “I have a lot of money and that`s why my singer will represent our country” contest.

Dear friends, this year, my country, Spain, sends to the eurovision song contest a very funny song “dances the chiki-chiki” and we hope this time we get a better position in the eurovision song contest or at least that everybody has fun with our singer.
