Tereza Kerndlová will represent the Czech Republic for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade.Her song “Have some fun” beated the other nine songs. Tereza Kerndlová was born on October 6, 1986. She rose to fame as a member of Black Milk. When the trio split in 2005, Teresa started her solo career and released her first album “Orchidej”. Teresa Kerndlova won the majority of the votes and beated many hot favourites.

Nine songs are qualified for the EuroBGVision final. It will be held on February 23rd. Other three songs will join by three wild card entries.

The songs for the final of Malta Song For Europe 2008 have been announced. These eight songs have been chosen from 17 competiting songs. The final will be held this Saturday.

15 songs will fight to represent FYR Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The Macedonian national final will be held at the Metropolis Arena in Skopje on February 23rd. the public and jury of experts will entitled to vote at 50-50%. A special show aired by MKTV 1 was held and some parts of the demo versions have been played.

One of the two semi finals on May 24th and the final on May 25th will be airing by the Australian Broadcaster SBS. This information has been confirmed by SBS.

It is still unknown which of the two semifinals will be aired. This depends on which semi final will decide to broadcast BBC, because usually the Australian Chanel tags along with BBC and uses their commentary. If the British broadcaster decides to broadcast both, the Australian fans will have an Eurovision marathon night. SBS confirmed that they will broadcast the semi final on Saturday at 8.30 pm and the final on Sunday at 7.30 pm local time.

More then 300 000 viewers watched in Australia the semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 12th 2007. Two days later 432 000 people watched the final. Even more fans are expected this year.

Out of 450 songs, five have been selected for Kdam Eurovision 2008 in Israel. It will be held on February 25th and February 26th. Boaz Mauda was internally selected to represent his country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade and he will perform all the songs.

On February 25 and 26th special jury and the audience will choose on of the following five songs and this will be the song which will represent Israel in the semi finals in Belgrade.

“Ke’ilo Kan” is the song specially written by Dana International and Shai Keren. The next song is “Masa Haiyai” and is written by Itay Pearl. The third song is “Hin’e Ha’or “. It is written by Henree. The fifth chosen song is called “Parparim” and is written by Doron Gal.

On Monday, January 28th will be held the draw, where it will be decided in which of the two semi finals will perform the participating countries of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade. This show is hosted by the Serbian national broadcaster RTS. It will start at 13:00 CET.

The 38 countries will be drawn in six pots. This will be based on the voting patterns between 2004 and 2007. In to the first semi final will be on May 20th will be drawn half of the countries in the six pots. The other half of the countries will go to the second semi final. It will be held on May 22nd. The show will be carried on by famous Serbian sportsmen.

During the drawing show, Zeljko Joksimovic will perform. Also it will be decided which of the two semi finals the hosting country Serbia and the Big Four (Germany, France, Spain and UK) will be obliged to vote and broadcast.

Ruslan Alehno at Eurovision 2008
Ruslan Alehno will represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade. The 26 years old singer won the Belarusian final with the song Hasta La Vista. Ruslan defeated in the final Litesound - “Do You Believe”,Gunesh - “I Can’t Live Without You” and Po Glazam - “Devochka Trechtysjachych Let”. The professional jury preferred him and Ruslan will represent his country in the semi finals of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade.

The national final will be on Friday, February 8th. Jury that included Lévai Balázs, Benko; László, Horgas Eszter and Malek Miklós chose the songs.
